Let's talk! I went perusing today looking to see the info on adaptagens. I found some goofy stuff~ Let's review! Some say adaptagens are an ingredient in their supplement able to support your immune system!! CA CA!
I found one oil site say that it meant that oil supported your immune system~ Uh noooo!
So here is the bonified, I have studied the quality of the essential oils considered adaptagens and will let you know the truth of it here..............
Adaptagens are the group of essential oils that act as both stimulant and sedative! Confused? How might an essential oil do both you ask? I did! It can't at the same time! So here is a demonstration of how amazing God is! (The Word of God says that all creation demonstrates the nature of God) so does this group of essential oils!
When you are studying, it is late in the day, or maybe you are at work you are fully engaged in the task at hand but maybe tired from the morning, poor food choices, time of year, lack of fresh air, sunshine,..... I mean this list could go on, right? Your brain has certain activity to keep you engaged as your activity level demands. This group of essential oils "reads" that message and acts as a stimulant! Lemon for example will improve your focus, stimulant your brain activity and cause you to retain up to 40% more information! Why would you work without it, huh?
But later that evening you are laying in your bed trying to wind down....you are cool, your body is relaxed but unable to sleep, a few drops of lemon will then act as a relaxer and increase your ability for a deep sleep! It again reads your chemistry markers and offers relaxing!
If that isn't a scratch your head amazing thing....I got nothing!
THIS is the truth (but not the whole truth) of adaptagen essential oils~ there are oils that serve as both one that stimulates your brain, increasing energy and also serves as a sedative! Not am immune stimulant!
Here are a few of adaptagen essential oils: Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
Lemon (Citrus limonum)
Coriander (Coriandum sativum)
Jasmine (Jasminum grandiflorum)
May Chang oil (Litsea citrata)
Melissa (Melissa officianalis)
Petitgrain (Citrus aurantium)
Yuzu (Cirtus junos)
And fyi: just for fun! Did you know Black Pepper essential oil is an aphrodisiac?
