If, while enjoying the outdoors in the heat, you feel dizzy, faint, or nauseous (even if you don't fee thirsty) escape to the shade and rest. 1 tsp of pink Hymalian sea salt added to a bottle of water will hydrate best!
Apply Lavender (Landula Angustofolia) to your temples, back of your neck and solar plexus (upper abdomen) and breathe deeply.
After sun care should also used to minimize the effects of heat (such as muscle cramps) and dehydration.
Dilute 2 drops Geranium oil or 3 drops Eucalyptus oil with 1 tsp of your favorite oil and message on muscles.
Prickly heat is that tell tale rash of tiny red blisters. It is caused by blocked sweat glands and can be itchy. Use 6 drops of each Eucalyptus, lavender and chamomile to a tsp of vodka (one very good use for Vodka, I an think of....) Shake that mixture into a cup of spring water and spritz your spotty areas!
Warm baths are good especially effective if you add 4 drops of Eucalyptus and Lavender Essential oils. Adding baking soda to a bath is the most effective relief for things skin related.
Consider these solutions for
Babies under two:
1/4 c baking soda adn 2 drops Lavender
Babies 2 to 7 years old:
1/2 c baking soda
2 drops Lavender
Babies 8 to 10 years old:
1/2 cup baking soda
3 drops Lavender
10 years to Adult:
1 cup baking soda
4 drops Lavender
More isn't better in the economy of God. God is a great economist and enough is enough on His scale so adding more Lavender will actually reverse the efficacy of the oil! Too much undoes it's purpose. Oh my, is there in there?
These recipes and suggestions have come from The Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy by Valerie Ann Wormwood. It is one of my "go to guides".
